turn off the beat

I just recently got a Casio WK-200, i am like most people and did not read the manual. I skimmed it and found nothing on this. Can anyone please tell me how i turn off the different rhythms? every time i change the tone it turns the beat back on.

Hi. I can only guess that one of your "Mode" lights are on (Casio Cord, Fingered, or Full Range Cord). When one of these modes, along with a Synch Start are on, you will get a rhythm starting when you play something in the bass line. Turn off any "Modes" you may have on, and you should just have a keyboard without any accompaniments on.
