    Looking for Main Controller/Workstation

Well, when reviewing 88-key boards with weighted actions, I guess the person reviewing the board assumes that the one looking for a board like this has piano playing as top priority in his/her mind. Therefore I don't find it strange that the focus is on piano sounds and action. By the same...

How is Novation Launchkey SL49 MkIII for Beginners??

Bear in mind that Novation controllers are really optimised for Ableton Live, although they will work with most DAWs. If you're into that kind of stuff, it's apparently a match made in heaven. It'll work with Logic or Cubase, of course, but you'll get a 'lesser' experience...

    Which stage piano ?

About the action on the ES110 : yes, it is a bit noisier than the alternatives from other brands, but is not as bad as it's said to be. It's more of a dull 'clunky' noise, rather than clacky, which would annoy me, to be honest. So, @Biggles , I assume that the one you played must have been...

    Cheap Case for Korg Kronos?

Gator cases are good quality but expect to pay around €275 (that must come to about $300) for a 88-key board. Even if you don't travel a lot, it would be unwise to get a cheapo case for an instrument with a price tag like the Kronos...

    Which stage piano ?

Ok, thanks. You see that all that advanced stuff is not my cup of tea, I just want to play the piano ;) I will also be using the line outputs on the focusrite to connect my iLoud Micromonitors (so two 1/4 TS cables from the line outputs on the focusrite to the RCA on the iLoud), the ES110 has...

    Which stage piano ?

In the end, I've decided not to spend that kind of money since, if I'm honest, I'll maybe be using about 25% of all the features on those boards. So I'm going for a cheap portable alternative, in this case a Kawai ES110 (considered the Korg D1 briefly but decided against it) and I'm going to...

    Which stage piano ?

RH3 keybed is really good and I like it, not as good as the CP88, but it trumps the TP40 in the Piano 4 I tried some time ago. Unfortunately, it seems the Grandstage has been discontinued. It's still on Korg's website, but it's no longer available from any store I know, online or otherwise.

Sold old keyboards and need something new, should I buy Keyscape or a real keyboard like Nord or Fantom or Kronos??? Fantom8

If I needed a new workstation now with 88 keys, I'd most certainly go for a Fantom 8. Best key action in any board of its kind...

    Which stage piano ?

If the sales guy from A&C Hamilton was saying that the Piano 4 was the best thing since sliced bread, he obviously hadn't played a Kawai MP11SE before. Well, no, actually, he said it was the best DP in the shop, so they obviously didn't have the MP11SE... i'm not saying the Piano 4 isn't a...

    Which stage piano ?

No worries... The S7 Pro and Piano 5 are in stock @Thomann... The CP88 is available from a reseller in France, about half an hour drive for me. I've got plenty of options, really. In the back of my head, the SV2 is still there, that's in stock as well. The RH3 alternative for cheapskates, the...

    Which stage piano ?

You may have a point there... In any case, if the differences between the Piano 4 and 5 are negligible, then I might be disappointed when playing the Piano 5. The S7 Pro also uses the TP40, the TP40GH to be precise. According to Fatar's website, it's the 'Four Zones Graded Hammer Action'...

    Which stage piano ?

As long as it's not much more than 20kg, then I'm fine. The MP11SE was 45kg...
