Newbie here and to keyboards.
I have a Akai MPK 249 which I would like to hook up directly to an amplifier without going through a computer.
I have tried using the usb on the back to a rca adapter. No go.
I have also tried a midi din to rca adapter some low level static when I press a key or a pad.

The 249 sits above my Kurzweil 2500 KDFX so is it possible to use that between the 249 and the amp? My preference is direct to the amp even if I need a little interface box.

That thing is a voiceless controller.

The only way to get a sound out of it without a computer is to hit it with a hammer :D :D :D

If you haven't blown out the DIN port, connect MIDI OUT to MIDI IN on the kurzweil and it will work....
