Hi all:
I have a DGX670 Keyboard that I play with a microphone plugged in to the keyboard as well to sing. I'm working on taking my music outside of the house for small events and felt that I needed an amplifier for the keyboard and my vocals to help the audience hear. In the back of the keyboard, I plugged in a splitter into the Phones/Output jack. I put my headphones into one of the split jacks (so I can hear the keyboard & myself in performances) and the amplifier into the 2nd split. The amplifier is a CoolMusic DM30. The keyboard and microphone go through the amplifier just fine. HOWEVER, In my headphones, the sound is reduced in one of the ears and it's quite a bit quieter than before the amp was plugged in. HERE is the amazon link to the amp. What am I doing wrong? And/Or do you have any recommendations for better audience sound? I'm not convinced the amp is the right one. I don't want to spend too much on one as of yet. Any thoughts/help are appreciated!!!

I think the male plug is stereo and the two female plugs are mono. One female plug gets the right signal and the other female plug gets the left signal. What you need is a Male Stereo plug to 2 Female Stereo plugs. I think this link shows what you need. Stereo Male to 2 Stereo Female

I think that's what I have. Here is what I bought. Is that about the same? Do I need a special type of cord to the amp?
