Hi, hope everyone is well.
Another mod to my old keyboard.

I installed a 4G touchscreen Wi-fi smartwatch in my keyboard and now can stream play MP3 from internet via SIM card,Wi-fi or micro SD card.

I opened up the watch by unscrewing 4 screws to take the bands off.

There was a aerial in one side of the bands not sure if it’s Bluetooth or GPS.

Battery supplied is 380mah 3.7v lithium-ion
I updated this to a 1080mah 3.7v battery so it lasts about 5 hours playing MP3 by soldering 3 wires to the board after I removed the spring battery terminals.

The battery was fitted to a suitable battery holder with a lid so it can be removed and charged.

I cut a hole again into my keyboard with the dremel in left side to fit watch and underside to fit battery holder.

I cut some small holes in body of keyboard for air circulation.

Works like a dream, let me know your thoughts.

YeahI I know, there will be positive and negative replies and I respect all either way.

Looks great! I'm not sure I'd be wanting to pay for a phone plan for my keyboard but it makes yours look very futuristic and it must be very handy for mp3s.

I honestly don't see the point. you could just as easily plug a $20 MP3 player into the 3.5 mm TRS input that pretty much every keyboard sold in the past 5 years comes with as standard these days.

It's sort of like the old Heathkit TV sets , radios and oscilloscopes you could build back in the 70's and 80's.

They were wonderful quality and you learned a lot building them, but they tacked an extra 100% - 500% over the price of an equivalent ready made from Japan in those days.

I hope you had fun doing it, because it made no economic sense whatsoever. :)

Hi.
Has micro SD card slot so you can store MP3.
Keyboards is old about 10 or more years but still works 100% with Windows 10 x64 and android software showing what keys to press even lighting up on Casio LK300 TV.
Thanx 4 ur reply.

Keyboard hacker.
