HI everyone :)

I'm thinking of getting a Casio CTK - 2100 so I can make background music for my Youtube videos, which are commercial in aspect as I make money from them.

Can I use the demo songs / rhythms that are built into keyboards as my background music commercially? Are these melodies copyrighted?

Please advise!
Thank you :)

As far as I know the demo's are copyrighted but the styles or rhythms you can use free as long it is with your own created composition.
When you use someone elses song, copyright might be te case. To use that on an open source as YuTube I would be very carefull as penalty's can be very high. The same is the case with performers btw.
I believe if the music is created BEFORE 1923 it is in general free to use. Not 100% sure about this.
