Beginner - getting started

I have had my M Audio 88es for about 2 months now. It took about a month before I could get any sound at all out of it.

I still haven;t been able to get a piano sound.

I just want to play piano - I'm a beginner.

I have tried Ableton Live and NI Akoustik.

Whats the simplest way to just play a piano with the keyboard?

after 2 months and no piano sound, something seems odd. Are you getting any samples to play? The simplest way to get piano, and a whole lot of cool instruments is to plug your Midi Out on your 88es into this: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MotifRackES/

Crikey, I only paid 130 pounds sterling for the keyboard, I could have bought a piano for that amount!
