Hi,

I am a beginner and buying a second hand Keyboard. I have a choice of two A Casio CTK 711 or a Casio WK 1300, both second hand and both in good condition, both the same price.

I dont know which is better. I want it mainly for piano, and to play around a little with the midi functions. I am no master by any means, hence the second hand machine.

What is the big difference in the two. And which you recomment.

Thanks in advance.

The CTK 710 got 61 keys, the WK 1300 got 73 keys, but it isn't much of a problem since you got the octave up/down functions. The piano sound on the CTK 710 is rumoured to be of excellent quality, and it has 242 sounds while the WK got 200. Both boards got MIDI functions.

To me, they seem pretty equal. But you might wanna go with the CTK because it got better sounds, and it seems more beginner-friendly.

Good luck on you choice!
