Check if the cable is stereo or mono. I think it must be mono? At list the bananas for audio out give "buzz" if you pluf stereo cables instead of mono

If you are using headphones or connecting leads from Apple Devices be aware that stereo jackplugs used universally in the music industry to connect equipment have 2 bands round them. Mono ones have one band..

Apple, however, in their infinite stupid wisdom, decided to rewrite the rule book!!

You CAN NOT USE Apple style Jackplugs (which have 4 bands round them) in pretty well any keyboard made. The internal connections are wired to take standard universally recognised 2 Band jackplugs.
If you do, your sounds will be crap.

Sometime back, a friend of ours asked if he could try my Roland headphones, having failed to get any sense out of his own that he was using with an adaptor.
It was during this testing that I noticed the difference in his Jack plugs and realised his problem.

Thanks for the correct terminology too.
