I’ve recently bought a casiotone 403 keyboard. Upon arrival, all appeared well. All the keys worked, fantastic, brilliant! But... I just went to switch it on just now, and have found two issues.
the additional instruments button(s) do not do anything. When pressing the piano keys, it just plays whatever preset instrument is selected from the 4 options (so the additional sounds which can be set by pressing one of the piano keys doesn’t work).
furthermore, the chords part of the piano keys do not play at all, unless accompanied by drums, but only with the selected bass note, not free play. Does that make sense?
I have dismantled the keyboard to search for any cracked traces, broken wires, or faulty switches. I couldn’t imagine this is a problem with the piano key button contacts as they do all function, just only when the accompany bassline is selected...
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
