Hello i have owned a ctk 6000 and wk6600 for years, i am thinking of investing in the Korg pa300. I have quite a few sd memory cards which are full of my music data from over the years. My two present keyboards as you now realize use the sd memory cards, however i do get the option of saving cms or smf files. The korg pa300 as midi usb sockets. My question is if i transfer my cms to smf on my casio sd card could i then put the card into one of those usb combi sticks and plug it in the Korg pa300 usb. And would it work any help is appreciated thanks mick

SMF is a format using MIDI event commands, but it is not an audio format.
A direct conversion from "audio CMS" to a soundfont format for an SMF (Standard MIDI File) is not possible.
A conversion from CMS to WAV, AIFF, or SF2 would be necessary in order to subsequently edit sounds in the PCG format.
PCG files are the sound format used by the Pa300, which are selected with a MIDI command (Bank Select MSB, LSB, Program Change). An SMF also uses these MIDI commands for sound selection.

*
The Pa300 can read common file formats, such as WAV, AIFF, and SF2 files, and load data from KORG Trinity and Triton files.
The Pa300 can import a format converted from CMS (WAV, AIFF, or SF2).
The Pa300 can create PCG files from imported files using the built-in sampler and its sound editor and save them as sounds in its user sound bank. These user sounds can be used by SMFs (Standard MIDI Files).
*
Therefore, not a direct conversion from "audio CMS" to a soundfont format for an SMF of the Pa300 would be neccessary, but a conversion from CMS to WAV, AIFF, or SF2, in order to subsequently import and edit sounds to the PCG format and use them as sounds for an SMF.

The conversion of a CMS file for a Pa300 is very complex and extremely time-consuming due to the processing of the audio data through instrument definition for a usable Korg sound format.
