Aloha and new years greetings my friends of musak,
Hi i had been wondering for a while about how exactly to go about linking my dgx670 to a macbook air with monterey OS and using the logic pro software for experimenting mixing, recording, track layering, etc. etc. I had heard from Phil C an audio box was necessary to get the cleanest or decent sound quality but I need advice and/or direction as to what to get and the cables needed to setup properly. I attempted to use a midi data cable for yamaha boards connected it to the macbook.
I pulled up the logic pro but wasn't clear on how to set it up properly when the setting config window came up i.e the midi input, output. I tried using head phones so the actual sound from the board was playing through mi headphone but when i further tried to click record to record a built in instrument voice from the keyboard to a channel track in the logic pro it recorded the sound but upon playback all you hear is white noise muffled static. The same thing happens when trying to record and then playback a style rhythm or drum beat i made in the style creator? Any help or info that could point me in the right direction would be phenomenal!
Great big awesome Thanks,
Mystik
