CP4 - need help assigning control pedals

Greetings, Here's what I'm trying to do. I use splits a lot playing keyboard base. I'm trying to set the volume control pedal to work with the main voice, but not the split (bass) voice. Also it'd be helpful to assign another control pedal to work with the layer voice for either volume or expression. Thanks for any help.
