I'm James.
Been composing and producing music for just shy of a decade. Was a drummer most of my life and played in various Jazz ensembles and bands all the way through college. I did not finish with a music degree because Napster came along, and the music industry was too unpredictable and unstable to rely on a career in the field.
I've always enjoyed playing piano the most. It is my one regret that I did not take enough piano lessons when I was younger. Fortunately I learned enough to be able to play well enough to produce and write music. I know my theory and have "the ear" to learn how to play stuff I hear. Something like a coldplay song, or a modern pop song...Just not something like from Nikolai Kapustin. lol.
