Diagnostic Fails for FDD INIT and MIDI UART - K2600X

I've got a used K2600X keyboard and running diagnostics on it the FDD INIT and Midid UART tests are failing. Any idea what may be the issue or what hardware may need to be replaced? I can see the patches are loaded in the KCD screen but there is no sound at all for any of them.

Sounds like it may be a fault with the floppy drive or it's controller.

Open it up and look for bulging caps and corroded traces on the circuit board.

Your baby is getting up there in years and needs some TLC to bring it back to life.

This is a job that requires some skilled tech work.

If you have the notion to do a DIY repair then I heartily recommend you read this book first.

It is the equivalent of a three year program in a technical college.

Get thru that book and you will be able to repair almost anything.
