Hi!

I got this second hand PCR-300 couple years ago. It worked until now. When the power is on it displays 105 error? I have installed drivers. I've tried to system update from 1.04 to 1.05 keyboard from Roland webpage. Update did help couple times, but if laptop turned off and turned on again, there's 105 error again. Updated again, did factory reset and worked again. But now update won't work anymore and seems like I can't do anything with it, besides to do check keyboards system version and to do update, which doesn't help anymore.. Is there something I can try or is it time to get new keyboard?

Thanks!

Look again. See if you can spot anything that looks like one of these?

It better must be very hidden, but I'm not seeing any battery. If battery is at least 20mm wide, I would be seeing it

If there's no battery backing up memory and it's exhibiting new behaviour of "forgetting" settings on power down then I'm at a loss and can only hypothesize on the cause. It's possible a failing component, perhaps a large capacitor or a NVRAM chip experiencing "Bit Rot?"

Anyway, those photos are pretty low rez and I can't make out any detail on the silkscreening so I really can't comment any further unless I actually had the thing on my workbench at the moment.

I wish you luck with it but some things are simply cheaper to replace than to fix these days.
