I have my new Casio ct x3000 keyboard and I cannot even closely imitate the sound of some of my favorite songs, e. g. Riders on the Storm or Light my Fire of The Doors. Can someone give me advice which sounds and effects to combine?

Experiment with the sounds you have available. Unless someone else owns a CT X3000, and will do the work for you, it is unrealistic to expect an answer for "advice". Good luck ! YMMV Don aka B3maniac

The newer Casios actually have some pretty good sounds built in. Where Casios are weak is Effects.

If you want to get more authentic vintage sounds from the unit try adding a stereo effects pedal.

An excellent multi FX pedal is the Zoom MS70CDR. I use a couple myself.

That'll give you the beefy reverb the Doors used on songs like Riders...

If I have it correct Ray Manzarek used an early Rhodes on Riders hence start off with a DP on your X3000 that sounds like a Rhodes and add plenty of Reverb.

Effects included have improved on the X models. You have 24 different Reverb options so you should get pretty close

Manzarek also used a Gibson G101 which may well be the Transistor Organ that Cowboy refers to, and his signature sound become that of a Vox Continental.

The Gibson was also marketed as a Kalamazoo and these were produced by Lowrey Organ Co.

Info is from a book entitled Classic Keyboards which just hapens to be my current Coffee Table book.

Here is a guy playing Light my Fire on a Gibson 101.

I just looked through the instrument list of the 3000 and the names of the sounds sadly do not give much clue as to where they were sampled.
