It is welcome news, the better the security of the OS the better it is for all us Mac users.

Not that it is actually new, it has been happening for quite a while and software developers have had plenty of time to work on updating their Apps.

It is the same with each major update for iPads/iPhones in that the Apps need to be updated.

I have fallen foul of the way Apple updates their various OS systems in that they have caused some of the Music related Apps I use to cease to function and it has taken a while for them to actually be updated.

Still on our iMac we only have Reunion (genealogy family tree app) and Black Magic's DaVinci Resolve (video editing) that is not of Apple's own creation.
