Can someone recommend a decent unit that will do piano and strings to fill in the mix for an acoustic/light rock band? I'm not interested in midi, percussion options, or tons of buttons, or the ability to record etc. Just for simple performance needs. Old or new, but not too expensive. Under $200.00 maybe. Thanks.

Hmm... I don't think you'll be happy with anything in that price.

Old keyboards usually don't come with good piano sounds,
so if you rely mostly on playing the piano - you will have to save up more

Piano Strings

For that kind of money, if you have a controller, I'd suggest trying to find a used Kurzweill Micro Piano (half rack mount). Simple - only about 32 sounds, but terrif pianos and a pretty good piano string combo. If you don't have a controller, check out the Yamaha portable grand (I got one on sale for about $400 to tote around to vocal rehearsals) It's intended as a student model, but it's got a real bang for the buck.
