With my MP11SE, I use my iPad for Garageband and some other apps.
I've got the iPad connected to the piano with Apple's USB3 camera connector kit, and for sound, at first, I used a cable with TRS mini-jack from the iPad, splitting into to TS jacks, going into the Line In in my MP11SE. Worked, but I get noticeable hiss from the iPad (apparently, I'm not the only one).
I read a post on another forum from someone with a Kawai ES8, which also has Line In, and hasn't got that problem. I put a small Behringer 'mixer in the mix' , between the MP11SE and my iLoud Micro monitors, and that solved my problem, but still, I would like to know what the problem exactly is.
Is it because my iPad is on the music rest, which is made of metal, and that causes some kind of interference ? Or is that just the way things are with an iPad? Or could it be something else ?
