how to change octave in Casio wk 1800

I'm having a hard time trying to change octVe on Casio wk1800. It only changes Octave for the split line/left/bass and doesn't do so for the tone/Right. Anyone who can help with this?

I owned one of those about 20 years ago.

IIRC then you have to set the octave on the base sound BEFORE you enable the split. Then it controls the left side.
