How to 'delete all' in edit mode (MOXF8)

I recently bought an MOXF8 from Yamaha and I was hoping someone knew how to delete all sounds that have already been recorded on one channel instead of having to delete each note individually to clear that channel out. Right now if I lay down a track on a channel and I don't like how it sounds, I have to open up the edit interface and then delete each note separately. This gets frustrating when I have a lot of keys pressed. Anyone have the same problem trying to delete all and you only are able to delete individually?

You are trying to delete individual NOTES. See section 04: Clear Track on Page 95 of the REFERENCE Manual (NOT the OWNERS manual) to clear an entire track in one fell swoop. Select all items in the "Clear" menu to remove everything from the track.

Good luck !
