How to set up drum tracks on Roland DS-61

I would like to be able to easily set up drum backing tracks while playing with other musicians when we don’t have a drummer. I go to a couple of local jams and sometimes that is the case. I have figured out most of the features on the DS but haven’t been able to decipher either percussion or use of the phrase pads.
