I think it's a classical russian folk song but for the life of me I don't know the name of it.

Tempo is about 140 bpm (counted alla breve) - I remember this as the main melody - many years ago, Roger Williams recorded a classical/jazz arrangement on this tune which was outrageous.... of course, I no longer have the 33-1/3 rpm LP I remember the key as A minor but could be wrong, melody may not be exact, either
