I have a casio wk-1600 having problems

I have a casio wk-1600 it works with the batteries but can not get the adapter plug in to work I have bought several they keep telling me they are the ones for it but they are knock off If it works with the batteries shouldn't it work with adapter power supply I don't know I am new to this but I would like to find the right adapter and get it to work with adapter can anyone help me out please thanks
