Hi,
I’m interested in writing my own MIDI patch controller that would also act as a set list manager. I know there are many products out there that have this functionality but none that totally meet all of my requirements. I’m not interested in writing a commercial product, just something in the freeware domain. So right now, I have 1 Potential user, ME. So would anybody here like to provide feedback on my prototype or at least comment on my design thoughts?
It would be great if I could get some comments on my thoughts and the data model on how I see this thing working. It’s kind of a big project (for me) as I am learning the Swift language, iPad iOS, Apple core MIDI architecture and even Bluetooth communication. I really don’t want to start writing and have a real architecture showstopper stop me dead in my tracks because of my newbie position. I’ve written 4 prototypes using different models and architecture and I think I’ve fallen into every pothole that’s available. Oh well, that‘s how you learn. I was hoping to find someone(s) that I could bounce my ideas off of to minimize my pothole Experiences.
I suppose I could just post my thoughts here in this forum but I’m concerned about people fading in and out of the discussion.
Thanks for reading my ramblings,
Cliff
