Just another newbie

Hi to all.
Interested in music, I thought I'd give a try to the making of it, as well.
The YPT-300 (Yamaha) seemed alright for the task, so I recently got one. I also have a MIDI adapter with it, what's that good for? (please, don't laugh so hard).

hi and welcome... you're yamaha will do just fine to get you started, but if you
want to really MAKE music then you'll have to go for something more powerful.

I will think about upgrading when time comes.
Right now I'm trying to just make this thing go on and off.
