Hi all,

I'm just looking for some advice on a keyboard. The Nord Stage 3 fulfils all my needs but is very very expensive. I've still a decent budget but just researching if there are cheaper options out there. The Nord Stage 2 is not available second hand where I live.

My checklist is the following:

1. Excellent piano and electric piano sounds (Perhaps organ too)
2. Weighted keys
3. Availability in 73 or 76 key versions
4. The ability to link a midi controller to play sections like the Nord Stage Extern section
5. The ability to load up your own samples like the Nord Sample Editor

Any advice is very welcome

Welcome.

Nord Stage 3 £2600 for 76 keys and £2950 for 88.

That is quite a budget, so keeping under £3000.

Korg Nautilus 88 £1970 RH3 action, 73 £1830 but is semi weighted

Kurzweil, there may be more than one option in their range that suits, I am in the UK where they hardly exist but owners here and on other forums rave about them.

Look at the Studiologic C Piano GT, not sure of its sampling capabilities but it does get great reviews.

At a lower cost is a Yamaha MODX, Korg Krome EX and a Roland FA

That is all that I am aware of.

The Yamaha Montage and Roland Fantom are both well above the cost of a Stage 3.
