Keyboard MIDI, JV-880 Rack, SSL 2+ Audio interface, Ableton

Okay so i DO need help.

Hey yall!

For the life of me I have tried my best even as a knowledgeable IT person to hook up these devices and be able to play and hear my Roland JV-880 in ableton, but I have failed several times so here we go.

Hardware:

Akai MPK249 Midi Controller with a MIDI in and out

Roland JV-880 Rack Mount Synth with a MIDI in and out and pass thru

Solid State Logic SSL 2+ Audio interface with a MIDI in and out

I'm using Ableton Live 12 and I just want to be able to play the Roland with my keys and into ableton. I really need to know the wire mapping so I can mess with the settings and software to try and get it to work.

Any help is appreciated!

OK the LORD has thrown me a bone!

so it goes like this.

MIDI out from keyboard to USB interface (SSL 2+)
Keyboard USB to Computer obviously
MIDI out from SSL 2+ to Roland JV-880
TRS Left and Right from JV-880 to SSL 2+
setup the tracks in ableton and i can play up to 8 sounds at once with the AKAI MPK!

Get your hands on some MIDI routing software, Like MIDIfire for Mac.
