Hi

I've recently bought a Pa5X Korg arranger.

Does anyone know how to contact the Korg Forum admin? I've tried to Register, given my email, a password etc etc, but have never got any confirmation email from them.
Tried to register again, but it says my email is already taken? Round and round in circles...

FAQ says if you have a problem, then contact them..... That's great, but how? There's no contact info or link to do that.
Can anyone help? Or maybe the site has folded?
Thanks.

Message received.

I sent a pm to one of the Moderators who posts daily on the forum so hopefully he will action on your behalf.

Before you go to far with the Pa5X a suggestion.

Insert a new USB Memory stick and format it in the 5X and then create a Backup of the OS and installed Sounds, Styles etc.

I have lost track of the number of Korg users who have not had a Backup file and have lost all their user data when they have updated the OS.

I create a Backup every time I have saved anything to the User locations on my own 5X.

Thanks for this Biggles, it's appreciated. I hope to hear from them.

That's great advice, and I have already done so!

I'm still finding my way round the Pa5X (only had it a week) and always willing to take note of suggestions to enjoy the keyboard.
It's quite a different OS to the Yamaha systems I'm used to, but I will work hard to understand it.
I'm still printing off the Performance Manual, as I learn faster from a written book rather than other sources, although some of the Video tuition has been extremely helpful.
Just hope I don't blow my printer up!

Thanks for this Biggles!
Still no word from that other forum, so I think I will forget them, as a forum that's not active is obviously not worth bothering with. Thanks for your efforts.

I sent you another pm. The guy at the forum is after your user name, your email and the issues.

I also asked if you have checked your junk mail to see if the activation link email is there

The forum is active as it covers all Korg products and not just the Pa5X.

Hi Biggles

Unfortunately not.

I put in my Username and password that I registered with, and it wasn't having any of it. Tried several times.

So I put in just the Username and used the reset password option, which said I would receive a new password link.

That was over 24 hours ago... Still no response. And, Yes I've tried both my Inbox and Spam folders.

Maybe it doesn't like Gmail, because I'm not having any issues with any other emails... Baffling.

Thanks for your help with it. I live in hope! 😀

I have sent a thank you message to the Moderator who helped.

Do note that there are some, how do I describe them? Yep, there are Plonkers on the Korg Forum.

They usually they are American but there is one German/Austrian who is best avoided, they can get quite antagonistic with each other.

99% are very knowledgable and helpful, three in particular one of whom is the Moderator who helped you.

That said they are not a patch on the members here.

I have looked at the 1.3 Update and it does look good but already Bugs are being reported so I will hold off until 1.3.1 is released.

Thank you Biggles!

Yep I know exactly what you mean.... There are a few rather pedantic ones on all forums, so I avoid them, as it makes for a more peaceful life! My old heart can go without the hassle.....
I also thanked that moderator in my New Members introductory post.
Thank you.

One last thing about the Korg Forum.

It goes offline periodically, it is now for me.

It can be a offline for couple of days or more so don’t fuss it will be back (I think)

Ok. Thanks for that heads up Biggles.
I'm grateful to you for the help and advice you've given to me over the past days.
I've no doubt that I will soon be asking a lot more questions as I get my head round this super keyboard.
Kind regards to you
Keith.

You are welcome.

Once you get ones head around selecting the Style you want to use for a specific song and saving it to Songbook then the fun starts.

Saving is easy, long press of Song brings up the save locations so that part is easy.

Changing the Keyboard sets in the Song can be odd.

e.g. in the Future Pop Style which I have saved to Songbook the Keyboard Set assigned to 4 is Saw Lead. In my song I want that KbdSet assigned to 1 but I cannot find it.

I'm going to work on the keyboard over the next few days to get to know it better, and then I'll be able to navigate everything much better. Fortunately I'm retired, so my time is my own.
Thank you.
