Korg pa1xpro split

Hi .Is it possible to globaly fix the split position on this keyboard so that it defalts to the chosen split position.
At the moment it is split at 4C and l want it at 3G and stay there, but every time l switch the keyboard off then back on it goes back to 4C

Page 83 of the User Manual states: " Split Point and Chord Recognition lock icons Gbl When locked, Split Point and Chord Recognition mode remain unchanged when selecting a different Performance or STS. These locks are reset when turning the instrument off, unless you write Global settings to memory (see “Write Global - Global Setup dialog box” on page 257). For more information on parameter locks, see “General Controls: Lock” on page 232".

The manual l have is for OS Ver 1.00 alot different to the one you quoted. I have downloaded your suggested version but l am still baffled with the info.Can you give a step by step instruction of how l can do it.I have tried various methods trying to follow the book buyt still keeps returning to the original split setting.

I'm not sure why you are having a difficulty, unless the manuals are completely different regarding locking the split point, in which case you would need to refer to the relevant pages of your original one.

However, based on the one I downloaded, you would need to follow the instructions on Page 257, per the highlighted sections in the first attachment.

You should also confirm that the split point is locked, as shown on the second attachment (Page 232).

If this does not work for you, it might be an idea to contact Korg directly for further assistance.

Hi Gourockian. Thanks for you info,but l must be thick or something l have tried everthing but it will still not change the split point, the keyboard is more confused than me.l need step by step instructions on how to do it. Did you check to see if the Split Point lock icon is showing, as per Page 232?

The only other thing I can suggest is to try a factory reset then follow the steps outlined in the manual. As far as I can see, it appears to be a fairly straightforward procedure.
