Kurzweil Artis Favourite Sound Storage

Am thinking about buying the Artis.
It looks like you can only store 10 sounds as favourites.
Is there any more banks for storage or any other way to access favourite sounds?
I will be using it for live work and need to be able to access at least 20 sounds at any time.

From what I can gather you can also set up each category in each bank to default to a favorite sound.

If that's anything like on my PC3K8 then the way it works is that last sound accessed in that category is also the first one it returns to when you hit the category button.

This probably wouldn't help you much in a stage setting however.

My advice would be to use an ipad with some sort of patch manager to rapidly select your chosen programs and multis.

According to this chart the Artis has 256 User Programs and 256 User Multis.

This means that you could set up a complete set of 20 or 30 programs for a gig and cycle thru them with a pedal or a button press.

Not sure if those user programs overwrite factory programs and multis though.

On the PC3K there are up to 2560 user slots separate from the factory slots but factory slots are also overwriteable. Also the actual number of usable slots depends on the physical size of the objects used in memory. The larger the objects, the smaller the number of slots.
