I've had my PC3 for many years, and I always use the Beaten In Rhodes
My question is, it has 30 layers, and the louder layers jump out obtrusively if
you lean on a note a little too much, it's ruined many recordings.
I can't tell you how many times I've tried to change it, re-reading the manual,
but no luck - I thought I'd go in search of a forum today :)
Thanks in advance,
Scott

If I'm not mistaken some of the layers are specific to key zones. So not every layer is used for every note. Check the layers tab to determine which layers are associated to the key zones that are troubling. Once you found the layers that are the troubling then, for each of those troubling layers, go to the DSPMOD tab, arrow down to "level" and reduce the volume level of those layers. For those layers you can also try to go to the OUTPUT tab and reduce the Out Gain parameter. Take one layer (any layer), solo the layer so that only one layer is playing and try the DSPMOD level adjustment then also try independently going to the OUTPUT tabl and adjust the OUT Gain for that layer, see which one works best. Once you figure out which one you want to use then make your adjustments to the associated troubling layers.
