Locked track. Can't unlock!

Discussion in 'alt.steinberg.cubase' started by ºoºfizzyºoº, Feb 23, 2005.

  1. Cubase SL2. In one of my midi tracks, the lock sybol has appeared (without
my consent!!) and I find I'm unable to unlock it (after
right-clicking>edit>unlock). Can anyone help me out here?

Sounds like you might have the entire track locked, rather than the
event you are right-clicking on. Select the track (click in the track
column) and then click the lock button so it's not lit up. You might
have to resize the track if the lock button is not visible. Or click the
    lock button in the inspector.

I was looking for this fix and found nothing, I needed to unlock midi tracks imported from CS2 to cubase 7 elements. decided to create another instrument track, using ez drummer as this was a midi drum part and hey presto copied and pasted the whole track into the new midi track without the pad lock and was able to edit the original part.
