Looking for an App for partial lead-sheets that will also transpose?

[BleugrassBoy]

Help. I use a fantastic iOS app with almost 3000 songs I have accumulated over many years. It holds lyrics and chords and has a nice tap-to-transpose feature. I love it!

However many songs have a signature instrumental lick - and this app (and others I have seen) don’t have the ability to input a musical staff format (e.g. a lead-sheet) with that signature lick. And then of course ideally I’d like to have the ability to also transpose that lick to other keys once I have it entered it in.

Has anyone ever seen an app that would do this?

Thx from Illinois, USA

The UK here. May I ask what is the App you refer to ?

My preferred iOS app is Songbook ChordPro from Linkesoft.

But there are other similar alternatives such as Songbook+

Great for keeping lyrics and chords (and transposing chords). But not lead sheets/actual music.

SongbookPro works with both ios and android and will import PDF and transpose your song. There is a great Facebook support group too

Thank you for the response and suggestion. That app (like the app I already use) does indeed allow you to import a PDF file for viewing.

However it apparently does not transpose those notes when you want to play in a different key. I am searching for something that transposes the actual notes into a different key.

SongbookPro will transpose your song, but not transpose a PDF, which is treated like a pic.

Did you took a look at OnSong?
That is what we use in our Praise and Worship band.
I think it works great, but not sure if it fits your needs...
