Do you have recommendations on MIDI keyboard brands that are highly repairable. I.e. share service manuals with customers, easy to replace parts if needed, etc.

My current Korg keyboard is fixable with access to the service manual. Unfortunately, Korg does not share those with customers (only "authorized repair centers"). I'm looking for a brand that is less hostile to customers wanting to repair their own keyboards.

Specifically I'm wanting 88 keys, weighted, MIDI over USB, and ideally has mod and pitch wheels. I want something that plays and feels similar to an acoustic piano. I also record MIDI to the computer and occasionally mimic other instruments besides piano.

I don't see it as hostility. More safety.

It's understandable that manufacturers don't issue service manuals.
Their own engineers are trained and skillfully able to effect repairs.

Most of us can clean key contacts but not electrical components.

For the same reason, you'll usually find spare parts are only supplied to approved Service Centres, whereas your parts will probably only be available from sources like Ebay.

Good luck with your search.
