OK.... heres a problem (from day one).. LOW OUTPUT SIGNAL.... I notice IF i plug into JUST the MONO (left) output (or JUST the right output only)... I get a vastly reduced signal (the sound guy goes bonkers, my Hammond signal is about twice as hot), BUT, with BOTH plugged in, I get almost the full signal. Does that "left" mono channel combine the signal (and possible "phase out" a portion??? Anyone know???

Your "mono" channel is basically summing the left and right channels together before sending them out.

Depending on the patch, there is a possibility that you could be experiencing phase cancellation. Some keyboards have patches that are specifically designed to be run in mono to prevent any such issues.

I run everything in stereo, except for my personal monitor. But plenty of guys are equally passionate about running everything in mono.

I'd love to run everything stereo but that would tie up 4 to 6 inputs/DI's, .. I guess I could (and should just break down and run a small 3 or 4 channel stereo line mixer... thanks.... (now you would think someone would make an unbalanced line mixer with balanced outputs (affordable) for us keys folks)....

That's probably your best bet. Buy a cheap 6 channel Yamaha or Mackie Line Mixer and run that to your sound guy and you won't hear another peep out of him.

Gary ;)
