Well after my last know controller went back for a down key, right out of the box, I decided to give up on all this "connectivity" stuff.
Well another is on the way, the one I'm my title.
So, the questions start.
Being this KB controller is ONLY USB, no other ports and I wanted a USB audio interface in the mix, and can't find a reasonable interface that has USB in, they all have out but, no in's.

So my thoughts, I am going to get a powered USB hub, run the hardware of that into my iPad, then plug my kb controller into the hub and the audio interface into the hub also also. Then run my monitors out of the audio interface. So the hub will be the center of the spokes. A good thing is the hub is powered.

So, what do you think.

Well I picked up a Notation audio HUB, it has 3 USB inputs and it's powered.

No matter what you'll still require the computer or tablet to process the VSTis. So no matter how you configure it, it will still be basically a star topology.

Going to use my iPad, the m audio comes with several programs as does the notation.

Oh to add, I see what your saying. As long as I can play, and mess with music, i am a happy,,,,,, music guy. Took me a min. to see what you meant about star routing.

And Gary, until recently i thought a VST meant someone need penicillin to take care of that.

Read the label closely. It's "NoVation" not "NoTation..."

BTW, here's how I have my stuff hooked up.

First one is MIDI and USB DATA. You'll notice that it's still Star Topology.

Second one is Audio Routing.
