midi and styles ?

Hi everyone,

I have a roland e09 arranger keyboard and have it hooked up to my laptop
via a midi cable adapter into a usb socket on the laptop

As Iam new to this I am using Anvil Studio 12 to try the midi connection out
everything seems to work but (there's always a but ) if I record the output
for my keyboard with a style setting of a trumpet in anvil, when I replay it
back through the midi into the keyboard the style comes back as whatever
its set to in anvil studio ? is this correct ? is there a way of having the keyboard
play it back the same style it was sent in

hope this makes some sense ?

You have to set the instrument voice in Anvil.

Think of MIDI as just sending which note was pressed for how long and how hard.
