Hi all, just wondering if anyone would know if those midi foot controllers, such as Yamaha and Behringer, would be able to send chord change messages to a keyboard which is playing one of the inbuilt styles? A mate is a one man band, and would like to do this while he plays guitar. His keyboards are a Yamaha PSRE463, and a Korg EK50. I know neither have 5 pin midi out, but he has one of those host to midi converters which does away with the need to go via a computer. any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

This guy must be coming on stage wearing 40 lbs of batteries. ;)

The foot controllers are more than capable.

The keyboards?>?<?>?

Well that rests with their individual capabilities.

Seriously the guy should check out any documentation that shipped with them cause there's like a 70/30 chance that the capability doesn't exist/exists.

Study the MIDI documentation extremely closely and if that feature exists as a CC# then it can be programmed to the foot controllers easily.

Otherwise there's a couple of yamaha and korg geeks ( :) )who hang around this place who'll happily pre-digest and spoonfeed the manuals to you eventually. :)

Gary ;)
