MIDI in on Roland SD90

I have been using my trusty module via usb for ever but the time has come to go back to midi in direct from a keyboard.
I have selected system, scrolled to midi input and selected midi in to replace usb and save.

I get nothing and have checked the keyboard midi out with midi ox and all is fine.

Any ideas?

Check if the MIDI in and out ports are enabled on both devices and make sure they are both speaking on the same channel.

Turned out to really simple. After saving you need to reset module power! Then it works a treat.
Of course Roland tell you to save the new settings but nothing about reset.
