Midi question

I have a Korg Krome 88 and would like to midi it with my Yamaha MX61
no problem until I want to use the layer mode on the MX61 via my Korg.
Top part of layer sounds... lower part doesn't ie piano/string layer but string wont sound using the krome
is there an easy fix to this

Typically Korg Combis and Yamaha Setups use multiple channels to send and receive different instruments in splits and layers.

You'll have to make certain that your Units are receiving and sending on all the particular channels.

Check your manuals to see your options.
