MODX Strings Don't Fade When Keys are Released and Sustain Pedal Pressed

Regarding voices of ‘piano + strings’ or ‘piano + pads’: I would like to know how to make strings fade like piano with the sustain pedal pressed when you release the keys. As it stands now, the piano sound slowly decays (as it should), but the strings layer continues at a constant volume after releasing the keys with the sustain pedal pressed.

I have had a MODX8+ for about a month and I like so many features about it, but this is an important issue for me.

Normally, strings don't fade (they don't IRL), but it's usually not a problem if you're using the sustain pedal properly (by which I mean, with the proper techniques you'd use on a real piano). But MODX sounds are fully editable, so you can make versions of those sounds that have envelopes that fade like a piano instead of sustaining indefinitely.

Thanks! I will study the envelopes section of the reference manual.

Another question: My MODX8+ is acting a bit strange. Some voices make no sounds when playing a chord - this is random. A second later I press the same keys to play a chord and the notes play. Any ideas?
