MOXF8 QUESTION: CERTAIN KEYS WORKING INTERMITTANTLY.

On my Yamaha MOXF8, four of the keys in the upper register (2 C#, 2 G) work sporadically. Has anyone else ever had this problem? And if so, do you know what to do about it?

It sounds like you may have slightly dirty contacts under those keys and that means opening the keyboard up to get access. You will probably need to refer to the Service Manual to do this and fortunately, you can download it for nothing here: https://elektrotanya.com/yamaha_moxf6_moxf8.pdf/download.html.

I'm not familiar with this particular model so can't offer any further info on the best method for cleaning the contacts but it would be worth doing an online search.

I had this issue with a moxf6. Yamaha thought it was a chip failure, and charged me for a chip which made no difference to the problem at all. Gourokian was right in my case, a couple of contacts needed cleaning, and I got a repairer to do it as I'm rubbish at DIY.
