New keyboard

Thank you for accepting me on here I am a beginner but can play a little and can read music I bought a psr e373 keyboard a few weeks ago and now bought a psr e473 as well I have them layered so I can play both the e473 is really good just learning all about it's technical stuff I was wandering if there's a way to link them together has they both have usb b host ports ? Or are they supposed to be midi ports not sure so need advice

Use a regular midi cable. Connect Midi Out on one keyboard to Midi In on the other. Now what you play on the "Out" keyboard will also play on the "In" keyboard.

But the connections are usb b host connections not true midi ones is this still possible they are not 5 pin connectors

1st Question: Did you read both manuals?

If it's possible to do so -- then it should be in there. Yeah, it's likely well hidden in very poorly translated pigeon-English written by an engineer-who-is-an-IT-geek-and-not-a-keyboard-player, but it should tell you what's possible for MIDI.

Use a computer or Ipad to connect up both keyboards along with appropriate MIDI routing software to direct the signals between the two.


This is your only viable option.

What do you want to actually achieve?

I’m thinking Style play ie ACMP on one kbd with one hand playing sounds and just playing sounds on the other kbd with the other hand?

happyrat1 is absolutely right! No other way to connect both keyboards if they doesn't have the regular Midi ports...
