Hi,

I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. I need advice on the best keyboard for my particular requirements. I've done a lot of research on here and elsewhere but I'm still not sure which way to jump.

I have a budget of £450. Above everything I want realistic acoustic sounds - particularly acoustic bass, accordion, woodwinds and realistic Hammond B-3 organ. I'm not worried about weight, number of keys, realistic key action and large polyphony. I'm going to be using the keyboard to supplement my own home recordings with instruments I don't have or can't play. It's not going to be used for performance and it needs to have phono out sockets so I can record it into my Yamaha AW1600 digital recorder.

I'm leaning towards the Yamaha MM6.

What do you guys and gals think?

Thanks

Alan

in my little experience the MOTIF engine is the way to go for realistic voices.

the MM6 you have mentioned will fit the bill nicely,
