Problem with 2500 R reading correct MIDI from 2600

SO:: Been with Kurzweils since '89 ..should know the answer BUT...

NEW SCENARIO ::: You are on the 2600 key board -- been MIDI to the K2500r for years --never moved ...

You change a patch or type in a selection on your 2600 keyboard == and the rack 2500 automatically changes ...ALL the sudden now >> you type in 50 and the 2500rack will read 309 ?? Or whatever .. just a random number ??

This is on fresh sequence >> not something you have forgotten say= an early EVENT -- that you can edit out >> just will not correspond correctly >>

Probably a battery issue. As the battery weakens things that are remembered start to forget. Probably time to change the battery on both units. They take a CR2032 and are fairly simple to install. You may have to reprogram the units after installing the battery.

The 2500 rack takes 3 AA batteries -- just put them in last week -- thats when the trouble started >> will check the batteries again -- the LOW Voltage warning has not been showing up ??
