60 is just too young to depart the stage.

We have been lucky to see The Mavericks twice and to hear the brilliant voice of the man himself.

Yet another loss due to the Big C.

Dance The Night Away in heaven Raul.

My wife introduced me to the Mavericks many years ago. We danced to their tunes often as their songs were played here by a couple of regular local musos.
Love their music.
What a sad day to lose Raul.

Our first trip to see them was in Manchester.

The concert never took place as a burst water main in the city had caused the venue and the surrounding buildings to loose their water supply.

We went home, meanwhile the Mavericks came into the foyer, commandeered the Grand Piano there and gave an acoustic show for 3/4 of an hour.

The concert was rescheduled a couple of weeks later and we went to see them.
