Hi. I have just bought an RD 800 stage piano and use PK 5 bass pedals connected by midi. Can anyone tell me how I can get sustain on the pedals and can I set the piano to transpose incoming midi notes from the pedals.
Many thanks. Rob

According to the user manual (http://cdn.roland.com/assets/media/pdf/PK-5_OM.pdf), you can shift the octave by pressing the octave function button, followed by one of the pedals. That will move it up or down up to eight octaves, but only by octaves. You can't move it a fifth.

I don't see any sort of sustain functionality. Looks like you'll just have to hold the note down. Unless you've got great balance, you may want a stool.
