Hello! I have a Yamaha Arius YDP 164 that I connect to my PC via microphone extension jack.

There is a faint humming in the recording and I am not sure how to remove it. Maybe my recording settings are not correct? Below is a troublesome recording. What advice do you have?

Welcome.

What software are you using to record your DP?

Can you record a few seconds without playing and post the result.

If your keyboard runs on batteries try without the adapter.

Usually it’s a ground loop.

This....
I bought a Lounsberry Tall and Fat pedal and it hummed with a power adapter but didnt when it ran on batteries. When I spoke to Greg Lounsberry he told me to use this specific power adapter which has excellent filtering. Sure enough no hum when used with this adapter: Boss PSA120. Not sure if that adapter is the correct one for your DP but for my situation the old adapter i used did not have proper filtering, but the Boss did. So you may need to invest in a filtered power supply.
